We are also distributors of prepaid water and electricity meters, as well as DSTV products. We stock both local and international brands. We cater to all markets ranging from industrial requirements to domestic and DIY markets and everything in between.
What has been your biggest success?
One of my biggest successes has been being able to move into our new business premises that is located in the Umbilo area; this move brought us closer to suppliers, as well as existing and potential customers. We have also been able to furnish, fully stock and brand the new premises. Another huge accomplishment is being able to secure distributorship agreements with some of the biggest manufacturers in South Africa. My greatest personal achievement of is getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce: Management and Marketing. I am also currently working towards my Honours Degree in Management.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Being a young woman in a male dominated industry is a challenge in itself. Another huge challenge was the obstacle of securing accounts and business relationships with large corporate manufacturers and suppliers, as we are a new player in the game. These corporate's tend to support the large wholesalers and suppliers that have been established for many years and possess a large market share. These companies are mostly owned by males and are listed companies. A personal challenge of mine has been balancing being in the business six days a week, to run and manage it, with my honours studies.
