What does your company do?
We empower and educate South African parents through our free online portal, which offers tips, tricks, expert articles, and a wide range of resources to support them on their parenting journey — bringing back the joy of parenting.
Our platform connects parents with various experts they might not have been able to access otherwise, whether due to logistics, financial constraints, or simply not knowing that these specialists exist.
Additionally, we have created an award-winning maternity program that supports many mothers throughout their pregnancy journey.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been seeing how powerfully the South African community resonates with my brand. It’s more than just impressive business growth — it’s the phenomenal exposure, skyrocketing website traffic, and the surge of social media followers that have firmly established us as the fastest-growing and largest parenting platform in South Africa. Today, our community boasts over 800,000 engaged parents across our digital platforms.
What truly brings me pride is witnessing how our platform has positively touched mothers’ lives. Countless moms, impacted by our services, have become our most enthusiastic brand ambassadors. They passionately share their experiences through word-of-mouth referrals and proudly display our “Baby On Board” stickers on their cars—symbols of their belief in what we do.
These stories, conversations, and visible displays of support go beyond marketing; they’re living proof that we’re making a real difference for families. This authentic connection and unwavering community support affirm that we’re on the right path.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
We live in a country that is rich in potential, yet still grappling with deep-rooted inequalities. Access to capital, networks, and opportunities is not always a level playing field. Add to that the everyday realities of balancing family, societal expectations, and systemic hurdles — and the journey becomes more than just a career choice. Being an entrepreneur becomes a calling.
