What does your company do?
Ole Blu empowers coastal African communities by harnessing natural ocean resource. We are Focusing on seaweed as it provides employment and skills, contributing to sustainable development. At Ole Blu we then process and add much need value addition to the seaweed and turning it to an organic fertiliser product, which is used by the small holder farmers.
What is your biggest success?
My greatest accomplishments includes securing pre-seed funding, launching our pilot program, and acquiring new customers. These achievements have been significant milestones in our growth and development, and I'm proud to have played a key role in making them happen
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Or Adaptability is key, so Expanding into a new market like Kenya can be challenging, and you likely learned to adapt quickly to new circumstances.
Fundraising takes time and effort: Securing pre-seed funding can be a long and difficult process, teaching you the importance of perseverance and strategic planning.
Last but not least one needs to embrace failure and learning from mistakes is crucial, dig deep and see where the issues that need to be fixed daily, it’s part of your routine.
