What does your company do?
The Centre provides a unique and comprehensive approach to working with children with hearing loss who have additional learning challenges. We work to teach these children listening and spoken language skills to access learning and the world at large. The families are empowered to be their children's primary language learning models and champions.
What is your biggest success?
Each child who graduates from the programme, communicating with confidence and living their best life, is another piece of our collective greatest achievement.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle is continually having to learn how to negotiate the changing world of fundraising, running an NPO/NPC with its ever-changing rules and regulations and still fulfilling my role at the Centre helping parents negotiate the world of hearing loss diagnosis, cochlear implantation and growing their children's listening and spoken language skills.
