Kapcor Construction (Pty) Ltd

What does your company do?

Kapcor is a dynamic and multifaceted company that operates at the forefront of the Built Environment. Our comprehensive solutions span across construction, environmental waste management, and cleaning & hygiene, making us a trusted partner for a diverse range of clients and industries. Whether it's building sustainable infrastructure, managing waste efficiently, or maintaining clean and hygienic environments.

What is your biggest success?

Kapcor has achieved significant milestones in its expansion journey. We extended our services to neighboring provinces, securing a landmark project in KwaZulu-Natal as a main contractor. This upgraded our CIDB grading to 4GB 5CE, showcasing our capabilities and expertise. We diversified our services by establishing waste management and hygiene divisions, now fully operational and trading at 100% capacity. Our commitment to excellence earned us numerous awards, including Excellence in Project Deliverance, Youth Owned Construction Entity of the Year, Woman Mentor of the Year, and Business Woman of the Year. These awards were conferred by esteemed institutions like the CIDB, South African Chamber of Commerce UK, and FortyUnder40 South Africa.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

Our biggest challenge is securing long-term projects to sustain our workforce and acquiring funding to purchase equipment and plant, enhancing our service delivery. Despite raising funds, high operational overheads and costs make it difficult to maintain momentum. We urge government institutions to simplify access to funding for SMMEs like us, enabling business growth. This support would help us overcome cash flow constraints, invest in resources, and create jobs. By easing access to funding, government institutions can empower SMMEs to contribute more significantly to the economy and society. We believe that with the right support, we can overcome our challenges, expand our capabilities, and make a meaningful impact in the construction industry.
