What does your company do?

I help learners with their school work, assignments and projects. I help learners to progress and pick up. I also help learners to gain confidence in their academics and to learn independently.

What is your biggest success?

My biggest success was when the school I did my internship at approached me and asked me to run my afternoon classes at their school for learners to be closer to me and for every parent to be aware that the school offers afternoon classes. The school also asked me to assist their learners who have learning disabilities and they gave me the literature programme that I runned from the beginning of this year. Submitted my proposals to few schools around my erea because I wish that one day I could employ youth that is unemployed. My biggest success is when parents and teachers are giving back the testimonies that learners are progressing and are picking up.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

My biggest hurdle is when I had to use my bedroom for my classes because I didn't have space to conduct my classes. I could choice not to proceed with the classes but because the of the passion I have for my work and children I proceed anyways. I came across parents who wanted me to teach their children how to read and write, it was the biggest hurdle for me because I just told myself that I'm helping learners to do their homeworks, it even came to a point where by I dicided to close the afternoon classes because I thought that parents are just wanting a lot from me but later on I actually discovered that my gift is to teach children how to read and write and not only how to teach them how to read and write but to build the love of education, reading and writing in them.
