What does your company do?
We Care Foundation provides kids living in homeless or disadvantaged situations with the essential items they need to thrive at home, school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have With communities that need
What is your biggest success?
Winning the SABC2 Nelson Mandela Charity competition in 2019, we won R10 000 in cash prize which contributed to the organisation. The prize was spent to buy school shoes, school bags and breakfast hampers for the kids.
In 2020 the Organisation won the Sunday Times "Lockdown Hero" competition with a prize of R10 000 cash. The prize was used to throw a kiddies event and also to buy food parcels for them.
In 2021 I made it to South Africa's top 100 ambassadors.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle is getting funding to sustain the organisation. We always use money from our own pockets so that we help these kids wherever possible. Sometimes it becomes too difficult.
