Our CEO only hires from Hackathons, Datathons and Code Clinics, this is aimed at recruiting individuals with unconventional backgrounds, such as ethical hackers, cybersecurity enthusiasts, and self-taught programmers. Through this initiative, we've been able to tap into a pool of raw talent, passion, and curiosity, bringing fresh perspectives and unconventional solutions to the table.By providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, we've transformed these individuals into cybersecurity and software engineering experts, empowering them to pursue rewarding careers and make a meaningful impact in the industry.But our success goes beyond just hiring practices; it's about the social impact we're able to make through our work. What has been your biggest hurdle?
Running a cybersecurity company comes with its fair share of challenges, and navigating these obstacles requires resilience, adaptability, and a strategic mindset. One of the most significant hurdles we've faced has been competing with well-established, JSE and NASDAQ-listed companies in the cybersecurity space.While these companies may have greater resources, brand recognition, and market presence, we've leveraged our agility, innovation, and customer-centric approach to carve out our niche in the industry. However, competing with giants requires more than just innovative solutions; it demands strategic planning, calculated risk-taking, and a relentless focus on delivering value to our clients.
One of the key challenges we've encountered in this competitive landscape is access to operational capital. Unlike our NASDAQ-listed counterparts, we may face limitations in securing large-scale investments or accessing capital markets. As a result, we've had to be resourceful and creative in our approach to funding, exploring alternative financing options, strategic partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives to fuel our growth and expansion. Another obstacle we've grappled with is the issue of delayed payments, which can significantly impact our cash flow and operational efficiency. In an industry where timely delivery and responsiveness are paramount, delayed payments can strain our resources, hinder our ability to invest in research and development, and impede our growth trajectory. To address this challenge, we've implemented robust invoicing processes, established clear payment terms, and cultivated strong relationships with our clients built on trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
Moreover, gender biases persist in the cybersecurity sector, posing a unique set of challenges for women in leadership positions and female cybersecurity professionals.
