What does your company do?
Dr FB Khan Medical & Aesthetics Centre is a distinguished medical practice led by myself, a general medical practitioner, dedicated to holistic healthcare. Our expertise encompasses general medicine, with a specialized focus on aesthetic treatments, including Botox, fillers, microneedling, IV infusions at our IV bar, laser skin treatments, laser hair removal and skin lightening. We have recently our practice expanded to include our resident psychologist and physiotherapist, hence expanding as a Medical Centre. This has allowed us to incorporate ketamine therapy to our patients with severe major depressive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Studies have shown that Ketamine therapy improves the prognosis of patients with depression and PTSD, and our outcomes have been phenomenal. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care and exceptional service, ensuring every patient receives personalized and effective treatments tailored to their unique needs. Our commitment to upholding high standards in both healthcare and aesthetics makes us a trusted destination for comprehensive medical and aesthetic solutions.
What is your biggest success?
Having won the best GP for the Bluff and surrounding areas for 4 consecutive years in the local paper’s “Absolute Best Awards” voted by local readers and patients. This was such a humbling achievement and it motivated me to keep striving for excellence to provide quality to care to my patients.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle was working every weekend and holidays to pay my way through medical school, whilst also raising my children and achieving golden key award status at Nelson Mandela School of Medicine to try to also secure any small scholarships I could. was a mature student entering medical school at age 24 having completed a Bachelor of Science degree and Bachelor of Medical Microbiology Honours degree prior to medical school. I firmly believe that if I could do it, any woman can do it.
