What does your company do?
Faith Village is dedicated to supporting the vulnerable children of Dunoon township by providing nourishing meals, educational opportunities, and, in the future, safe homes where they can experience love and security while receiving the education they deserve. Additionally, we extend our services to the adults of Dunoon, emphasizing personal growth through skills training and fostering spiritual development.
What is your biggest success?
Over the last 14 years, we have achieved many wins in the community. Seeing children growing up before our eyes, walking in confidence knowing that they are loved and that they have a bright future ahead of themselves. We have seen so many healed of physical, emotional and spiritual brokenness. We have employed 2 members in the community and assisted in providing employment opportunities for countless others. We have assisted in homes being restored. Planted vegetable gardens in Site 5 Dunoon. We have created a safe space for children and adults to learn, grow and develop community.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Lack of finances. We would love to expand our operations and employ more staff to do so. We would love to own the building that we currently rent. We are completely reliant on sponsorship and having committed, long term partners would be a game changer for us.
