What does your company do?
Flor Bonita Esthetics (a beautiful flower in Portuguese), was established in 2019 by a 27 year old Gloria Mogale who originates from Phalaborwa. With over 6 years experience in beauty and esthetics, Gloria saw the need to start her business. Starting off as a cosmetic beauty brand in 2020, the business has since grown into a beauty salon that provides beauty therapy services and sells African skincare products to address every skin type and condition, from extremely sensitive to the most challenging.
What is your biggest success?
Our greatest accomplishment to date have been building a website for our company and remodeling our workspace to provide additional services that our clients have requested. In the future, we intend to offer beauty training courses.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Finding the right supplier for our packaging was the largest obstacle in order to keep our product pricing affordable. Getting our products onto shelves of major retail stores has also proven to be a challenging task including getting our products certified, all meant to scale up and grow the business.
