What is your biggest success?

Our biggest success as Globescope Security is having built our regular client base from a zero base to over 50 clients, including largest listed corporates. A further attribute of our success is how as company, we navigated the storm caused by COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdowns. Our personnel numbers were not reduced, but in fact, increased during his time. On a more personal note, the COVID crisis created an opportunity for me as an entrepreneur to find ways to diversify the company’s income streams and we were able to adapt to the new normal.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

As a black-woman-owned business, on of our largest hurdles was making inroads into a male dominated industry that were resolute in protecting their market share. This meant that a great deal of scrutiny was placed on me and I had to constantly prove my capabilities. With sheer tenacity, I was able to make these inroads as I believed that I have a superior product range and service. The result is a base of over 50 regular clients, including large listed corporates.
