What does your company do?
Aquaponics farm that grows fish and vegetables as well as indigenous foods using black soldier flies to rear and feed fish making the farm a circular model. We also train youth and women on aquaponics
What is your biggest success?
I won the Mpumalanga Green Cluster pitch and got a prize money from Anglo American.
I am the winner of the ClimateLaunchpad EU competition for South Africa
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Access to markets and financing. It's very tough to get funding in agriculture but even mote tough as an aquaponics farmer because there arent enough South African aquaponics farmers. The industry still needs to learn, accept and support aquaponics farming and be able to cater to aquaponics farmers financially.
