What does your company do?
Bakoe Entertainment Pty Ltd is an online media company that prides itself in creating premier South African content to our viewers. The company way registered 4 years ago, however we started operations a year ago. We are the new kid on the block, we spotted a gap in the market we are here to exploit the opportunity. Youtube is a the future as opposed to traditional tv even the new subscription services. Our flagship show Within with Hazel is a weekly, sit down podcast show that airs on Youtube every Monday, Within with Hazel is centred around having authentic conversations with people of interest in South Africa. Our objectives are to turn profit, own assets and acquire human capital by doing what we love everyday.
What is your biggest success?
Everyday for me is a success, I am honoured and humbled to be able to do what I do. Seeing my idea come to life is a big W in my books. My biggest achievement was coordinating an exclusive interview with Tony Forbes the father of the late Hip- Hip superstar Kieran Jarred Forbes aka, AKA.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Not having a studio/fixed business premises has affected the quality of the material produced, it is limiting in terms of how much content we can produce and when we can work. Not owning recording equipment such as video cameras, tripods, gimbals and studio lights, having to pay the freelance A&V team for both labour and equipment is a costly exercise which can be drastically reduced.
