HEALING

What does your company do?

Our company, founded by my husband and me, initially started as HEALSPA, offering mobile spa services for patients in hospitals, homes, or step-down facilities. Our treatments provide clients with a chance to escape their realities and focus on healing. We come to you to aid recovery, strength, and rest. When COVID hit, we launched HEALING, a locally made natural product range. It includes everything from aromatherapy oils to facial care. Last November, we introduced our Natural Kids range with great success. The products teach self-care to the next generation through interactive, educational AR experiences.

What is your biggest success?

One of my proudest achievements is launching our kids' range. I'm deeply passionate about teaching the next generation the importance of self-care, sun protection, and giving back through our Warrior Foundation, named after my son, which donates 5% of proceeds to help children in need. My daughter was inspired by our product range and, at just 7 years old, started her own venture: Bath Salt by Mika. It's rewarding to know we're making a difference, even if small for now. As we grow, I aim to do even more for our children—the future generation.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

The biggest challenge has been transitioning from a small startup to working with retailers. Managing tight cash flow and accurate forecasting is tough, but I'm grateful for the opportunity and open to learning as I go. Owning a business presents new hurdles every year, but you find different ways to overcome them. Even failure offers valuable lessons—adapt and learn; there's a silver lining in every situation. As a smaller brand, raising awareness is also an ongoing effort, as we continue to invest in making our presence known to clients.
