What does your company do?
I am a home Baker. I provide quality freshly baked cakes and treats at reasonable prices.
What is your biggest success?
I am recently unemployed and within a week of resigning, I started my little cakery on 9 April 2024. I honestly did not expect it to take off and within my first few weeks I had a max of 5-8 orders per week, which in my opinion is quite exceptional. My biggest success has been the way I have been teaching myself the tricks of the trade and I am thoughrougly enjoying every minute of it. Another success would be all the incoming orders by promoting on tiktok, Facebook and Instagram.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Because I left my job so suddenly, my biggest hurdle was that I went into this business with no startup. So I struggle to acquire stock as frequently as I would like and because of this, I have to ask customers for 50% upfront deposit.
