What is your biggest success?
Over the last year we have dedicated to imparting technical production skills into township based manufacturers, agro-processors and farmers to assist them to reach production and company success through process engineering and sharing some of our production success secretes developed through a 9year+ career in some of the world's most technically advanced factories in the USA and UK. Although we work with corporates, to date we are proudest of giving back in meaningful skills and knowledge transfer where it is most needed to the entrepreneurs for whom it makes the biggest impact. We also have, through CEO Katlego Malatji, trained and spoken in address to Girls in STEM and opening the industry for more bright, brilliant women to join the industry.
So far I have trained:
100+ girls in STEM
50 Farmers
84 Agro-processors/ food producers
221 Manufacturers
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest hurdle has been getting funding for a manufacturing facility of our own where we can train and develop food manufacturers to address the Food Insecurity challenges of South Africa. We have the skill and have developed the strategy to address the process engineering challenges of our Food system and supply chain challenges but as an SME we need collabouration from corporate and funding to implement on the manufacturing facility and complete development of our Manufacturing Analytics IoT platform which will transform local manufacturing to a point where we can lessen imports, increase local production competitiveness, and increase manufacturing jobs.
