The Culinary and Hospitality Academy is centrally located in the Free State
Province (Bloemfontein). The academy is owned by Mrs. Keamogetse Thole who
comes with extensive experience of Skills Development through SETA’s and the
Food and Culinary sector.
We are fully accredited Culinary school by City and Guild International, Quality Council of Trade and Occupations, Cathsseta and Foodbev Seta.
Satisfaction of Culinary and Hospitality Academy Team is motivated through
positive and constructive customer/ clients’ feedback, and most importantly
academic development of youth and the empowerment of disadvantaged
communities in our country.
As an academy we pride ourselves in the passion that we have for developing
community members by imparting much needed scarce and critical skills, thus
improving the living conditions of those trained and thus ensuring we address the
skills gaps of the sector/s we are in.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success was ensuring that our Academy stays afloat during and after covid. Building meaningful relationships which has manifested in business opportunities for the Academy. Being the youngest female owned Chef School in the Free State and surrounds. I found myself isolated on many occasions.
Perseverence, Dedication, Consistency and an attitude of not giving up has gotten myself and the Academy to where it has come to be.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle has been securing a building that we can fully occupy on our own and purchase, as we would like to expand our services to a bakery, restuarant and conferencing thus allowing on site training for our students and creating more employment.
