What does your company do?
Kele Engineering and Construction is an EPCM( Engineering , Procurement and Construction management SMME company and part of the Kele Group holding company and peovides a variety of services to the mining industry. Its a level one, Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment women owned majority shareholder based in Mokopane.We provide an engineering vehicle aircon maintenance, procurement and construction to Mining industries. We install, repair and maintain aircon for all the Trackless Mobile machinery in the mining industry, we procure spares and parts to mines and we construct and design mining infrastructure.
What is your biggest success?
There are many but amongst others our biggest success was our expansion to the Democratic Republic of Congo; being nominated as a Top Empowerment Company in the year 2021. Being nominated in the Finalist of the Top Empowerment Entrepreneur in 2022 and being nominated in the Finalist of the African Mining business awards in the year 2023
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Securing and employing more black Female artisans in compliance with our 40% target in the social labour plan in Mogalakwena the local area where we operate. We currently employ 20% of black female artisans. Securing bigger projects in the engineering sector remains a huge challenge.
