What does your company do?
Food Insecurity and access to nutritious food is a huge challenge in the rural and urban areas on the African continent. As our lifestyles are changing, many people are becoming aware of eating nutritious food across the African continent. This is where Lekung Food Group comes in, I am Koketso Moloko the founder of Lekung Food Group. Unlike our competitors we supply large quantities of in season fresh produce to role players like the Johannesburg Fresh produce market, in the Gauteng province on a yearly basis. Our crops are grown with climate smart irrigation systems and we supply large quantities of fresh produce into the Northwest and Gauteng markets. We would love to increase our hectares and contribute more to alleviating food insecurity in South Africa.
What is your biggest success?
Securing 2 major vegetable wholesaler clients. Winning numerous entrepreneurship and Agricultural awards.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The cost of Increasing my production infrastructure.
