What does your company do?
Chuma Innovations is a wellness & consumer goods company launched in 2023. We are home to Aluwa Skincare & Chuma Baby brands. Our objective is to provide sustainable, natural, effective, and innovative products that enable people to lead healthier lives. We aim to integrate our South-African-made products into people's daily lives to encourage healthy living and promote self-love.
What is your biggest success?
Being invited to showcase our products at the Black Industrial & Exporters Conference as part of proudly South African brand initiative.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our main challenge has been marketing our products in a market that favours European and Korean products. We offer high-performing products in the mid to luxury price range. Since they are made in South Africa, we have to find creative ways to market the products.
