What does your company do?
I host themed events for women on a quarterly basis. If I'm not doing event, I cook and sell traditional food on a daily basis.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has by far being able to reach out to women in different races, ages and backgrounds by sending messages of comfort and hope across.
By hosting events that not only teach me but them as well, and also trying to boost their confidence and sharing their pain. I normally host themed events that boost morale and confidence, we touch on current societal issues i.e raising kids with disabilities, self esteem issues and how to build ones esteem, challenges of marriage, praying and work issues; and try to find a beneficial solution amongst the group. I've also learnt that not everything can work for everyone.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest hurdle is planning an event an the turn up becomes non satisfactory, people will promise to buy tickets and ask you to reserve seats for them, and they don't pitch. It's emotionally and financially draining as preparations require capital.
