What does your company do?

My company, Brown and Proud, centers around Thank you gifts, staff incentives, and employee wellness packages. Additionally, we aim to market these wellness packages to churches, hotels, and corporate functions. Our primary goal is to promote wellness, self-care, and mental well-being.

What is your biggest success?

My mission is to Ignite women’s sense of self-worth and power by helping them believe in themselves and the ability to be unstoppable. Allowing them access to opportunities and resources in a community that strives to grow by being teachable and being able to influence each other with their previous experience and knowledge to Grow and glow together. We provide a platform for women to access insightful content, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with a supportive community, empowering them to pursue their passions, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential." My primary aim and motivation for launching this business revolved around mental well-being and overall wellness. I wanted to establish a brand centered on caring for one's mental health and practicing self-care, providing a safe haven for individuals to take a moment for themselves and just breathe. In the midst of our busy lives, it's easy to overlook our own well-being. One of the most rewarding experiences during the launch was offering guidance to unemployed graduates and contributing to a larger cause

What has been your biggest hurdle?

I used to run an events company called LMDM Events, but unfortunately, it experienced a slowdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Getting back into events was challenging, so I shifted my focus to renting out equipment, especially since smaller gatherings were still the norm. This led me to start the Brown and Proud brand, which not only caters to event needs but also offers thank you gifts and wellness packages. Now, I'm striving to expand on a larger scale. While the pandemic and downsizing could have been seen as setbacks, they actually provided a new opportunity for growth
