Optimum Poultry would be nothing without it's workers. We have successfully employed women to be the anchor of the ship. I strongly believe in empowering women financially - it has brought so much satisfaction seeing the impact we have on families in the surrounding communities.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Avian flu and the lack of layer hens. We had to quickly protect our farm and hens from the Avian flu and also quickly come with a solution to get more layer birds because we dream of being a big poultry farm. We now hatch our own layer hens.
