What is your biggest success?

The most profound success in my counselling and wellness practice stems from witnessing the transformative power of therapy. As trauma survivors step through my door, they embark on a courageous journey toward well-being, guided by integrated treatment that addresses their deepest issues. My clients arrive burdened by pain—some shaking on the edge of despair, others grappling with life’s complexities, and some trapped by substance addiction. Yet, as they navigate their difficult paths, they emerge from sessions with renewed hope and smiles gracing their faces. Families reunite, bridging gaps between parents and their teenage children. Marriages find restoration, and the ripple effect extends beyond my walls. This forms the heartbeat of my business and always reminds me that this is not just a profession or a business; it’s a privilege; a beacon of light guiding souls from darkness to resilience.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

Attracting clients to sustain the business. Insufficient formal business training from setting up legal structures to effective marketing. Struggles of low reimbursement rates from insurance companies and government programs strain the financial viability of the business. Funding my business to make my services available for everyone in need.
