With HÄRT bakery stands as Joburg's first and only fully vegan walk-in bakery. Our daily bakes are crafted with love, embracing natural ingredients! We take pride in baking from scratch baking and ensuring the freshest treats daily, while constantly pushing the boundaries of plant-based creations. Our offerings range from celebration cakes, custom cakes, and wedding cakes to your child's first milestone celebration, In addition to our cakes, we offer an array of delectable treats to satisfy your sweet cravings. From flaky croissants to delicate macarons, gooey brownies, and the nostalgic cookies, there is something for everyone to enjoy. What is your biggest success?

Having the great privilege to have students from the International Hotel School complete their practical hours with us. This groundbreaking initiative fills me with pride, knowing that they are honing specialized skills in the pastry industry. It also allows restaurants to witness the excellence of vegan baking firsthand, eliminating the need to seek external vegan consultants.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

The vegan stereotype has & still remains my biggest hurdle. Just saying the word vegan, people immediately assume our bakes are not tasty and cant be good but this has also fuelled our passion even more to raise the standard of vegan baking, educate and continue to be innovative and push the vegan boundaries.
