Face Of Brits
What does your company do?
Face of Brits Enterprise is dedicated to empowering young girls in Brits through modeling lessons and a nurturing environment. Beyond teaching modeling skills, we provide emotional support, mentorship, and a holistic support system to help girls overcome personal challenges. Our mission is to empower them, boost their confidence, and cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging. We believe in fostering their personal growth and development, not only in modeling but also in life. Through our programs, girls learn valuable life skills and gain the self-assurance needed to navigate various aspects of their lives. Our approach goes beyond the superficial aspects of modeling; we strive to build resilient, confident young women who are equipped to face the challenges of the world. At Face of Brits Enterprise, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive space where girls can thrive, achieve their goals, and become the best versions of themselves.
What is your biggest success?
Our greatest achievement at Face of Brits Enterprise is witnessing our girls reach their goals. Many have been featured in South African magazines, secured jobs in radio, fashion shows, and as marketing managers. We’ve facilitated university applications and helped one girl receive a bursary from Natasha Joubert's collective our Miss South Africa 2023. Our workshops cover hygiene, industry navigation, and self-confidence, building self-love and self-awareness. Face of Brits Enterprise provides modeling lessons and a safe, supportive environment for young girls in Brits. We have seen girls gain confidence, with feedback from parents and teachers highlighting their newfound ability to present and influence others. One of our management directors became a semifinalist in the TV reality show Ster Status, and another was a semifinalist at Mrs. South Africa this year. This is all due to the safe space we've created, nurturing strong women and future leaders.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
As the founder of Face of Brits Enterprise, my biggest hurdles have been overcoming stereotypes associated with traditional modeling agencies and convincing stakeholders of our holistic approach. Navigating financial sustainability while maintaining accessibility has been challenging. Personally, overcoming doubts and imposter syndrome has been an ongoing journey. Despite these obstacles, with perseverance and community support, we've made significant strides. Our programs have empowered young girls, providing them with skills and confidence beyond modeling. Each challenge has been a learning opportunity, driving us to innovate and adapt. Our commitment to creating a safe and supportive space for our community's girls remains steadfast, propelling us forward in our mission to nurture strong, empowered women.
