I'm a novelist.

What is your biggest success?

I started writing in 2020 and told myself I wanted to be a published author by the time I was 45. My debut novel A Short Life will be released by Penguin Random House in July, 4 months after my 45th birthday!

What has been your biggest hurdle?

I used to have my own business - a production company. I worked in television and journalism. When I had kids I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with the pace - but it was a massive identity crisis for me to give up my career of 15 years and start working for my husband's business - Twenty Model Management. I wanted to be a novelist - but I knew it wouldn't be easy. I worried about money. I took courses online, I wrote and wrote and wrote. I was rejected again and again and again. Finally I wrote something that a publisher believed had value - and the rest is history.
