What does your company do?
Nostalnol Investments Pty Ltd is a technological company that develop innovative and digital products both for the university community and the communities at large. Founded by a university student entrepreneur, Miss Noluvuyo Zaca in 2021, we have launched a digital university marketplace and a solar powered vendor stand in order to help other students and small entrepreneurs/sellers launch their businesses effectively.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success so far has got to be able to develop and launch the products. It took a lot of time to figure everything out and as I’ve got to work on our revenue strategy, development of the platform and of the stand it was a lot to work on. And as we are bootstrapped, I had to use everything from my pocket and even learn new skills and finally we managed to launch with the vendor stand in MVP stage. That has been our biggest success, besides being nominated in various business categories and hitting prestigious pitching stages.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Raising funds, getting investors and launching. As I’ve mentioned that we are bootstrapped meaning we have raised funds from our pockets, securing an investor or VC has been a hurdle! Having to turn down offers of being acquisitioned because we wanted to make our company great and all the products great and innovative. We are actively looking for partnerships and collaborations thought with other big organisations that will be able to help us distribute the vendor stand to street vendors and university students. That has been hard doing!
