What does your company do?

Our organization, Mina Thina Childrens Foundation "Living Beyond Yourself", is dedicated to providing comprehensive social value across three key pillars: education, nutrition, and economic development. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities athwart South Africa by improving access to quality education, ensuring nutritious food availability, and fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency.

What is your biggest success?

It has been establishing a culture within the organisation that makes all parties involved feel a sense of purpose and responsibility through Mina Thina Childrens Foundation. From our board members, the partners and the beneficiaries, everyone is extensively committed and embodies the spirit of what the organization stands for "Living Beyond Yourself". Through this culture, we reach our yearly targets seeing a tangible impact across our initiatives, we continue to employ staff and attract volunteers, we are able to sustain and scale the organization and, we receive recognition across the country for our efforts. Our greatest achievement is the culture. We are also proud of our 3000 (and counting) beneficiaries.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

Overcoming the initial resistance and building trust within the communities we serve has been one of Mina Thina Childrens Foundation's biggest hurdles. However, through persistent engagement, cultural sensitivity, and strategic partnerships, we have successfully established strong relationships and demonstrated the value of our initiatives. This foundational work has enabled us to make significant strides in education, nutrition, and economic development, ultimately transforming the lives of the communities we serve.
