What has been your biggest hurdle?
Sesfikile wines is my brand name . It means " we have arrived " literally translated. It is a multi faceted concept about celebration, inspiration and aspiration. In the world of wine, there hasn't been orientation about wine brand in an indigenous language. I struggled with stereotypes and resistance from wine buyers across retail chains and the SA hospitality sector. Yet Sesfikile is winning awards on quality and inclusive innovation. This impacted my business from market access.
