What is your biggest success?
My biggest success was being given a chance to offer Facilitation services for one of the biggest Universities in South Africa (Stellenbosch University) at the Sustainability Institute for Living Community Learning Farm on such an important topic (Different Framing Methodologies). The interns from Living Soil Community Learning Farm, learnt so much & had a great understanding of what farming systems are and how they are utilized currently as farmers are trying to navigate the complexities of modern Agriculture. The success came from signing a contract with Living Soils Community Learning Farm, for my company to continue offering Facilitation & Training services to their interns on different Agricultural Topics.
Other successes: the opportunity to advertise my company at a Radio Station
7 on a popular TV Game Show and managing to hire somebody to assist me with administration in just the first year of business.
Still in progress: forming a partnership with one of the biggest Accounting Firms (SMTAX) in the Western Cape to assist them in their social impact project with different farmers in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Here, my company plays a role in project management (from project initiation until project closure).
Below is a short testimonial from Living Soils Community Learning Farm:
I am extremely grateful for the valuable facilitation service conducted by NZ Agricultural Advisory Services on the different farming methodologies. NZ Agricultural Advisory Services' expertise and guidance has greatly improved our interns' perspective as they prepare for their journeys in different agricultural fields. We are happy to continue a working relationship with them. Truly inspiring! Highly recommended!

What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been getting funding for equipment as a business offering services. Having a printer, projector, and an office computer can assist me and save me a lot of money and time. I currently have to hire a second laptop so that my assistant and I can share the tasks (gathering research, drafting reports, designing presentations, doing site visits, etc.)
Getting clients to settle invoices has also been a challenge in the business but I have worked on and finalized different strategies to get clients to settle an invoice.
