What does your company do?
Risellinaires Perfumes is a perfume business that manufactures and sells inspired perfumes. We currently have 24 perfumes that are sold which we have two sizes namely 30 ml sold for R120 and 55 ml sold for R200. This business was founded in 2019 by Nonjabulo Magwaza while she was doing her second year in UKZN when she saw a problem when it came to the affordability to quality and long lasting perfumes amongst her fellow peers. The business has grown thus far where our customers are not only students but everyone to adults as well. Risellinaires Perfumes employs 6 people across the country most of them being the youth. This business is an expanding business which we one one day wish to venture into cosmetics and detergents as it is as well a growing industry.
What is your biggest success?
Our biggest achievement is when Risellinaires Perfume won an award at the 2024 Hollywood Bets KZN Bambelela Business Awards making it to the Top 20 SMME's Businesses in KZN being funded with R30 000.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of our biggest hurdle is not having enough equipment and resources to manufacture enough perfumes as the demand for them is high. Without having enough also means we cannot employ more people to sell perfumes and make a living for themselves. We wish to go grow our business and be able to carter the demands of our products as we are actively seeking for funding to grow our business.
