What does your company do?
We are the only fully established Nuclear Medicine practice in private.
We have branches in Polokwane, Tzaneen and Nelspruit (opened 2 weeks ago). We offer our patients state of the art Nuclear Medicine scans and treatment. We also service the whole Limpopo and neighbouring provinces without these facilities.
Our patients come from Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland as they do not have these resources. Before we came into the market patients where sent by ambulances to Gauteng for suche medical interventions.
I am the first black woman (in fact the first woman) in the world to bring a PET/CT scanner.
Our equipment are copstly however they save lives and detect diseases earlier before complications.
What is your biggest success?
Being able to offer state of the art Nuclear medicine centres in the most under resourced and rural areas where the medical assistance is needed the most.
Being able to afford equipment and scanners amounting to 40million rands alone.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Being black, female in a under resourced area and financing where a major hurdle to myself.
