What does your company do?
MMCP, a black woman-owned business, was established as a financial services firm over a decade ago, that provided unique and comprehensive business advisory services, with a focus on building strong financial management and governance in organizations.
The business has transitioned to providing simplified, streamlined, and integrated financial solutions. Our services covers accounting, tax, corporate finance, strategy, business coaching and wealth management.
Over time, the business has expanded to include associates and investment companies, operating in diverse industries such as financial services, agriculture, and manufacturing.
The business is led by a CA (SA), holding an LLB, MDP B-BBEE, EDP and she is a Certified Value Builder Coach
What is your biggest success?
I have been in business for 11 years, providing accounting, tax, corporate finance and payroll services.
In 2015 I was a transaction leader on the acquisition of a granite mine in Kumga on behalf of Sobita Investments.
Over the years I then gained an understanding of the SME landscape and saw a gap in the wealth management space for business owners. Then in 2017 I started a wealth management company servicing business owners and professionals. I am currently managing both the businesses. Bothe these businesses were funded through bootstrapping and they survived without any capital injection, however i think we could have done much better if we sought any funding.
In 2020, the group made a investment in a manufacturing entity and is currently working on a second investment.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest hurdle has been securing office space and hiring the right staff and paying them well. In that way, I would focus on business development and working on growing the business.
