What does your company do?
We are a beauty salon offering beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, Gel nails, waxing, massages and facials. We also offer training for individuals dealing to learn.
What is your biggest success?
From working from my 2nd bedroom for over a year taking in client and finally opening a salon starting out with 2 employees in 2020 to now having 15 staff members and having 2 branches in 5 years, considering we closed down for 3 months during Covid lockdown just after 3 weeks of opening the salon. We’ve been busy since we got a go ahead from the government.
We became runner up on radio 702 small business award in 2022. We also opened our second branch in centurion in 2022.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Trying to get space for opening our 3rd and 4th branch. Since our brand is still growing landlords and property agencies don’t know it and they do not believe in my business that it can actually afford to be at the prime location I’m looking for. I’ve gotten so many rejection in the passed year and it’s better when I ask my business partner who’s also my husband to call on my behalf and in that way things seems to move and we even go as far as viewing, however when I call as soon as they hear a woman’s voice the person is no longer interested in what I have to say and decline immediately it’s discouraging however I keep hoping I will get the right spot soon.
