What is your biggest success?
One of my biggest successes in life has been taking over my late father's business that was established in 1993 and successfully growing it to new heights in 2024. Despite the challenges and obstacles I faced along the way, I persevered and ensured the continued success of the business. This journey has been a testament to my hard work, dedication, and commitment to carrying on my father's legacy.
In recognition of my efforts, I was honored with awards such as Contractor of the Year in 2017 and Innovation Award in 2024. These accolades serve as a validation of my innovative approach to business and my ability to adapt to changing market trends.
Moreover, I have not only focused on personal success but also on giving back to my community by sharing my story of perseverance, hope, and resilience with young girls. By mentoring upcoming businesses and providing support within my community, I aim to inspire others to pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles they may face.
In conclusion, taking over my father's business has been a rewarding experience that has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence, I have been able to achieve success while also making a positive impact on those around me.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of the biggest hurdles I have faced in my career is the lack of recognition for females within the male-dominated industry of construction. Despite facing discrimination and challenges, I have not allowed myself to give up or feel intimidated. Instead, I have persevered and overcome these obstacles by seeing myself as a human being first, rather than focusing on my gender.
By adopting this mindset, I have been able to navigate through the challenges and prove myself in a field where women are often overlooked. I have worked hard to showcase my skills and abilities, demonstrating that gender should not be a determining factor in one's success in the construction industry.
Through determination and resilience, I have been able to break barriers and pave the way for other females aspiring to enter this male-dominated field. By standing firm in my beliefs and capabilities, I have gained respect and recognition from colleagues and superiors alike
