What does your company do?
I offer bespoke website and brand design to female entrepreneurs that want to take their business to a new level. My services go beyond average templates and quick designs and are strategy-backed, curated designs that allow my clients to raise their pricing and charge their worth.
My main passion is web design and development, and the sites I create are aimed at creating an online business front for female entrepreneurs that actually attracts clients and create conversions, are also easy to manage by the business owner and grow with the business.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been finding my purpose and passion within my company and realising my worth after years of struggling. From losing everything during covid 2020, my business at the time closed down and I had to move back home and start with nothing. I then started doing small cheap designs under another company called Neo Designs for 2 years before I realised my worth and started Design by Steph in 2022 with a whole different target market and new goals ahead of me. Since then I have worked with over 400 female entrepreneurs from more than 7 countries and even designed for celebrities like Caroline Brooks.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle and something I continue to struggle with is overworking, and not taking time out to breathe and enjoy life. I often end up in burnout because I feel that I have to continuously push and push and if I stop working my whole business will fail even though that isn't the case at all. I feel guilty and stressed when I do anything that doesn't feel like progress and I am trying to teach myself that life is more than a continuous hustle.
