What does your company do?
I make nails and send them out to my customers nationwide.
my customers are people who:
- want to save time and not spend hours at the salon because my nails take 10 minutes to install at home
- want to save money because my nails are reusable
- want to avoid the UV lamp at salons at it has been established that its not good for the skin
- are not allowed to wear nails at work but want to wear nails on the weekends
- like my designs but cannot come to Durban
- feel pain when getting their nails done and therefore want to avoid the pain by buying my ready made nails
these nails are custom made which means they are made according to the customer's specific design and nail sizes. this is good because the nails fit that specific client's nails and the final product ends up looking like my customer did her nails at the salon. my product is literally the hack and accessory every woman needs
What is your biggest success?
my biggest success so far is how my business has been gaining traction on social media and being recognised by big personalities with large followings. this helped me because my business got exposure and in turn got a lot of orders. my biggest customers to date are DJ Zinhle, Minnie Dlamini and Dlala Thukzin
What has been your biggest hurdle?
my biggest hurdle was being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and had to shut down operations while I go through chemo, surgery and radiation. I was already a nail tech before the diagnosis but beating cancer motivated me to push even harder in life. It opened my eyes to the fact that I have so much to live for and that NBS nails is my seed of which great things will grow out of
