What does your company do?
ONEOFEACH is a fashion business based in Cape Town, founded in 2014 by mother and daughter team Tamburai and Pauline. We specialise in leather and textile handbags using embellishments such as beads and embroidery. We also established 2018 a fully accredited fashion academy training women youth in underprivileged communities to bring the gap between unemployment and workplace readiness. Thus far we have trained over 400 women and placed 80% in jobs within our industry.
What is your biggest success?
ONEOFEACH was awarded top Women Exporter under the AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act ) to the United States of America in 2021 and 2022. ONEOFEACH Also appeared on a NASDAQ Times Square billboard for recognition of our social impact work in 2022.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle has been acquiring funding to grow our business to its full potential to therefore hire the right people with the right expertise.
