What does your company do?
We connect with existing organisation's that are involved with vulnerable woman (either coming from prison, teenage mothers, underprivileged schools, etc) and give the ladies secondhand handbags that are in a good condition that was donated to us by the community to restore dignity and hope. We want women to feel like there is another woman out there who loves her and thinks about her when they donate their old bags.
What is your biggest success?
Our project going international. We have a presence in Cape Town, North West and Gauteng and we are privileged to send bags to Namibia and South Lebanon.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Finances. We add items inside the bags that every woman needs. We place a deodorant, lip ice, tissues, hand sanitizer and sanitary pads and we completely rely on donations by people and businesses for the bags and the items.
