What is your biggest success?
Through the grace of God, we had the privilege to employ hundreds of ladies and youth from disadvantaged communities on The Cape Flats and create a product that could be resold by women from disadvantaged communities all over South Africa. We sold well over 100k garments to date and all fabrics and trims was locally sourced.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
No grants or funding and zero investors. We could have franchised a long time ago if we had the right resources. Although our brand is well known all over South Africa, we were never allowed the platform to showcase our designs. We tried getting in by likes of Yde, The Egg, Local Edit, etc but was simply ignored or given a stupid reason.
