What is your biggest success?
Our greatest achievement has been the successful launch of our community-driven Baking classes. Through this initiative, we have provided over many aspiring bakers with comprehensive training in both baking and business management. This program has not only equipped participants with essential culinary skills but also empowered them to start their own small businesses. As a result, we have seen the creation of more than 20 new local baking businesses, contributing significantly to the community's economic growth.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle has been securing consistent funding to support and expand our "Bake to Empower" program. While the demand for our training programs has grown rapidly, ensuring we have the necessary financial resources to provide high-quality education and support has been a constant challenge. Limited funding has occasionally forced us to scale back on the number of participants we can accept and the range of resources we can offer. Additionally, navigating the competitive landscape of grant applications and sponsorship opportunities requires significant time and effort. Despite these challenges, we remain dedicated to our mission and continue to seek innovative solutions and partnerships to sustain and grow our impact on the community.
