Young Cloud Explorer's
What does your company do?
Our initiative aims to provide underprivileged learner's in rural areas and Townships with access to cloud computing resources, cyber security, coding and exposure to the tech industry. By partnering with local schools and community organizations, we offer a comprehensive program that includes hands-on learning experiences, curriculum and learning materials. We also offer access to trained instructors and industry experts. Our goal is to help bridge the digital divide and prepare the next generation of tech leaders.
What is your biggest success?
My greatest achievement includes being recognized for our significant impact in the community. I was honored to be chosen as one of the Google Women Techmakers and to become a board member in Southern Africa, highlighting our dedication to advancing technology education. Additionally, being a Young African Leader has further validated our efforts. We've successfully provided underprivileged children with laptops,
resources, food, and transportation, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed. These accomplishments demonstrate our commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering the next generation of tech leaders.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One potential hurdle we face and could face is sustaining funding and resources to continue providing support to underprivileged children. Securing ongoing support can often be challenging, especially for non-profits, despite the valuable work being done. But we now partner with Google, BBD Softwares and St Mary's Waverly.
