Zena Brand Builders is a out of home media solutions company with billboards, marketing and sponsorship properties in the Eastern Cape.
What is your biggest success?
The decision to enter the market has been my biggest success. It is a labour and capital intensive business and being able to erect my own billboards and bring national brands to the Eastern Cape has been my biggest win to date.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
This industry is operated by male-led, large corporates that have over 30 years in experience and collaboration with brands and marketing agencies. As a 32 year old African woman, with a small offering of sites, the biggest challenge has been based off of a limited network and access to decision-makers at key brands.
