Founded from a deep passion for baking and artistic expression, we craft high-quality, delicious cakes that are as beautiful as they are flavorful.
In addition to our cake offerings, we host baking classes aimed at empowering aspiring bakers with professional techniques and business skills. We also run a podcast that shares valuable insights, resources, and inspiration to support small businesses, especially those started by women and youth. Our mission is not only to bring joy through beautifully crafted cakes but also to uplift others on their entrepreneurial journey.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been transforming Exquisite Deluxe Cakes from a home-based passion into a growing, reputable brand that not only delivers exceptional cakes but empowers others. I’ve built a loyal customer base, catered for major events, and expanded into hosting baking classes that help others start their own businesses. Launching a podcast to support small entrepreneurs has deepened my impact, allowing me to share lessons, resources, and encouragement with a wider community. Seeing my work inspire others—especially women—to pursue their goals has been the most rewarding achievement.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been access to funding. As the demand for my cakes grew, it became clear that I needed better equipment, a bigger workspace, and support staff to meet client needs and expand into classes and podcasting. However, accessing funding as a small, woman-owned business has been extremely difficult. Many funding opportunities are limited, highly competitive, or not designed with businesses like mine in mind. This financial constraint has slowed down my growth and delayed plans to scale. Despite this, I’ve remained determined—using the resources I have, reinvesting profits wisely, and staying committed to building a sustainable brand.
