What does your company do?
Ndiyeza Ekhaya Community Centre is an organization that provides services in the Amstelhof Paarl-East region. Our programs include Food Security and Nutrition, which involves operating soup kitchens and distributing food to families in need. We also focus on Education and Youth Development through our after-school initiatives. In the area of Health and Wellness, we offer various supportive services. Our Women and Family Support program includes home visits to conduct parenting workshops and strengthen family bonds. Additionally, we promote Skills Development and Economic Empowerment by assisting community members with job-seeking resources, such as CV writing and interview preparation. Furthermore, we provide necessary support and resources to the community in the event of disasters, such as floods or fires.
What is your biggest success?
My greatest achievement is managing my own organization, founded by my mother, which has enabled me to pursue my vision and passion.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The primary challenge we currently face is securing funding to compensate our volunteers and ensure the smooth operation of our project.
