What is your biggest success?
My most significant accomplishment has been the bravery to launch my own business and achieve success in it. After graduating, I began my career in retail as a shop assistant, where I worked for a company for at least two years. During this time, I met my husband, got married, and welcomed our precious baby boy. I spent nearly a year as a stay-at-home mother, but I realized that this role was not suitable for me. Consequently, I sought employment that would be convenient and allow me to spend quality time with my son. Eventually, I secured a position in the flooring industry, where I built a solid reputation and a loyal clientele over eight years. I have always been a diligent worker, and I ultimately decided to part ways with my employer to establish my own company. Thanks to the relationships I cultivated with my clients and the friendships I formed along the way, I feel incredibly fortunate to have the support within my industry. The motivation and encouragement I received have shaped me into the person I am today. I can confidently say that without taking that courageous step, I would not have become the successful businesswoman I am at the age of 30, a wife, and a mother of two beautiful boys who inspire me to strive harder every day.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of the most significant ongoing challenges is to establish my credibility in a male-dominated industry. The entire sector, from suppliers to installers, is predominantly male-owned. Suppliers often question my ability to succeed in the business, and customers may doubt my performance capabilities. Additionally, installers sometimes challenge my authority as a woman. Nevertheless, I have persevered, and we are currently on the path to becoming a successful business. Furthermore, there are challenges related to securing funding to cover operational costs and to acquire expensive machinery.
