What is your biggest success?
Our biggest success has been how Solo Scrubs has built a loyal customer base in a highly niche market, almost entirely through word-of-mouth and organic growth. One standout moment was when a customer bought multiple sets for their whole team, telling us that Solo was the first brand that “actually gets it” when it comes to what healthcare workers need. We’ve also had sold-out collections that proved we understand our audience and that there’s real demand for stylish, functional medical apparel.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest challenge has been trying to build and run a business while working as a full-time doctor. Balancing call shifts, clinical rotations, and the emotional toll of healthcare work with managing production, orders, and marketing is not easy. There have been moments where we lost momentum—not because of lack of passion, but because of sheer exhaustion. Still, we’ve kept going, because we believe in what we’re building and in the people we’re building it for.
