What is your biggest success?
In the past 3 years, Roska Artisan Ice Cream has displayed incredible business potential. The owners of the company have an extreme desire to succeed and believe whole-heartedly in the quality of the brand and the product. In a short space of time, Roska has grown a high-end customer base and increased its footprint within the premium space. In addition, we have exhibited at various international food shows, and have published a brand story and inspirational case study with Henley Business School to inspire business students to grow themselves and start their own businesses.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest business challenge to overcome has been loadshedding, and managing cash flow to acquire a generator, machinery and equipment and supplies. Managing cold chain to maintain the integrity of the product involves, strict temperature control, proper packaging, storage and distribution, is and has been a challenge that we work towards constantly via the implementation of a sustainable food safety and quality control system.
